HID Global’s VertX products provide completely functional hardware infrastructure for access control software. The HID V100 door/reader interface can connect up to 2 access control card readers controlling a maximum of two doors and supports Wiegand or Clock-and-Data communication.

The V100 features on-board flash memory enabling it to updates to be downloaded to the device via network. The architecture of V100 allows high-speed RS-485 network to V1000, which reduces the burden on LAN system as a V1000 needs only one TCP/IP address for every 32 interfaces. The V100 can be easily mounted to any wall surface and operates at 9-12 VDC and is ideal for indoor usage in secure areas, such as – IT or telecommunications room, utility closet, or on a wall above a suspended ceiling.
