A flange is a mechanical device to join pipes installed for strength, for guiding, or for attachment to another object. In this case the barrier booms are attached to the barrier using the flange (FLVB01) and rear boom part (SBH01). Many of the Magnetic barrier booms come with a swing away or detachable flanges to reduce damage in case of collision with a vehicle and SBH01 enables reattachment of the barrier arm to flange.
