The RKLB40 is part of HID Global’s iCLASS SE biometric readers and iCLASS display reader platform. The reader provides biometric template storage and allows for migration from bioCLASS® readers. The reader supports multiple technologies including iCLASS Seos®, iCLASS SE, iCLASS®, MIFARE® Classic, and MIFARE DESFire®EV1, in addition to biometric identification for access control system. Fingerprint templates are stored on smart cards to alleviate privacy and database management concerns.
The data transfer between the reader and controller is secured with Secure Identity Object® (SIO®) data encryption and data is protected by Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP).
