The small-form USB reader is capable of operating with any type of contact smartcard or application software, and is suitable for large-scale deployments. The USB CCID support enables plug-n-play capability as it does not need any additional driver to connect to the host computer. The reader supports up to 100,000 insertion cycles and reads smart card frequencies of up to 12 MHz. The reader can read a number of card formats including national IDs.
